Jetour Shanhai T1 official images revealed ahead of launch

After the Shanhai T2, the Shanhai T1 – Chery Jetour’s second light off-road plug-in hybrid SUV, was revealed in more official images ahead of launch in the fourth quarter of this year. The pre-sale price might start at about 110,000 yuan (15,700 USD), according to dealers. For reference, the Jetour Shanhai T2’s price range is 179,900 – 209,900 yuan (24,800 – 29,000 USD).

Khodrocar - The appearance of the mass-produced version is the same as the version unveiled at the previous auto show, judging from the official images, exhibiting a square boxy shape. In the front, the square headlights are decorated with four-point dual rectangular light units, matched with eight double rectangular light strips inside the grille.

The popular hidden door handles and rear external spare tire are absent. The taillight’s four-point design echoes the headlight. The Jetour Shanhai T1 measures 4706/1967/1845 mm, and the wheelbase is 2810 mm, positioned as a compact SUV.

At the same time, the wheel eyebrows and side skirts have been blackened. The petal-shape rims are contrasting. A luggage rack is also added to the roof. The car has an approach angle of 27°, a departure angle of 25°, a towing capacity of 1,600 kg, and a curb weight of 2000 kg (with a sunroof) or 1963 kg (without a sunroof). 

Additionally, the Jetour Shanhai T1’s 1.5T plug-in hybrid system consists of a 115 kW (154 hp)/220 Nm 1.5T engine, paired with electric motors and a 26.7 kWh lithium iron phosphate battery pack supplied by CALB-Tech, offering a pure electric range of 117 km and a comprehensive fuel consumption of 1.08L/100km. The comprehensive range may be 1,400 km. Final confirmation is needed from the brand. Both two-wheel and four-wheel drives will be offered for sales.

Inside, the cockpit is equipped with a flat-bottom steering wheel, rectangular air-conditioning outlets, a 10.25-inch embedded full LCD instrument panel, and a 15.6-inch floating center control screen, with a built-in Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155 chip. The center console comes with a crystal gear lever, 50W mobile phone wireless charging, and cupholders.

In September, Jetour sold 60,226 vehicles, up 87.5% year-on-year.
